Newcastle's famous 'blinking eye' bridge as it opens to let a boat pass through. Despite having lived here all my life I have only seen the bridge lift once, and eve then it was only through an office window! So, now that I own a camera that can do longer exposures (and a tripod that someone has kindly let me borrow), I thought that it was something that had to be done and I am very pleased with the results!
